Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement is seeking a Compliance Operations Associate for their Providence, RI client.

Key Responsibilities

• KYC and AML Adherence: Ensure compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures and AML protocols to minimize risks and regulatory exposure.
• Due Diligence Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews for sanction screening and transaction monitoring.
• Data Research and Validation: Utilize appropriate tools and search engines to research KYC information and validate customer profiles.
• Client Communication: Manage correspondence and documentation effectively by leveraging DocuSign for internal and external client communications.
• Escalation Management: Identify cases requiring escalation and collaborate with relevant internal departments to resolve complex issues promptly.
• Risk Monitoring: Perform ongoing reviews of high-, medium-, and low-risk relationships to maintain compliance standards.
• Customer Due Diligence: Execute CDD processes as outlined in internal policies to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Transaction Analysis: Evaluate customer transactions for compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) standards.
• Regulatory Program Support: Provide assistance with OFAC, Politically Exposed Person (PEP), and other BSA compliance requirements.
• Document Management: Organize and store compliance documentation systematically while maintaining accuracy in internal systems.
• Statistical Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports while ensuring the accuracy of statistics and task completion.
  
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 0–2 years in compliance.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Lexis Nexis (preferred) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Efficiency Under Pressure: Capable of thriving in fast-paced environments with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Ethics & Attention to Detail: Exemplary work ethic with an acute attention to detail.
• Personality Traits: Professional, personable, determined, driven, and highly self-motivated.
