Join a Chattanooga institution as their Controller. The role involves joining our team as a Controller where you will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing daily accounting operations, overseeing financial reporting, and ensuring efficient customer service.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently process customer credit applications
- Maintain and analyze customer credit records
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting team, including processing of Accounts Payable/Receivable and managing the general ledger.
- Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions
- Review and develop policies and procedures for increased efficiency and accuracy
- Coordinate and execute the annual Financial and General Liability audit
- Prepare and review workpapers from the Accounting team for month-end close process
- Record inventory and costs of goods sold
- Manage capital projects, fixed assets, and Right-of-Use assets
- Serve as the primary point of contact with our credit card processing company
- Prepare and file census reports as required
- Coordinate the preparation, generation, and distribution of financial statements
- Work alongside team to create annual budgets for the Accounting team needs
- Lead the Accounting team including scheduling, work delegation, and performance evaluation.Join
- Profound knowledge and experience in all Accounting Functions
- Proven experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems
- Solid understanding and experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Proficiency in Auditing, with the ability to identify discrepancies and suggest improvements
- Experience with Budget Processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting
- Ability to prepare comprehensive and accurate Financial Statements
- Strong skills in Financial Statement Analysis, with the ability to interpret complex financial information
- Proficient in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial data aligns and is accurate
- Experience with Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial activities are completed and reported on time
