We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Cyber Security Engineer in Parsippany, New Jersey. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in securing our organization's networks, systems, and data, implementing and maintaining security measures, and constantly monitoring for potential security breaches to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets.Responsibilities:• Design and establish security protocols, systems, and infrastructure to counteract cyber threats• Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection tools• Continuously monitor systems for any suspicious activities and security breaches with the aid of SIEM tools• Respond promptly to security incidents and conduct thorough forensic investigations when necessary• Regularly conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify potential risks• Implement patches and updates to address identified vulnerabilities• Develop and enforce robust security policies, procedures, and guidelines• Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA• Organize security training and awareness programs for employees, fostering a culture of security consciousness• Collaborate with stakeholders to embed security best practices into all projects• Cooperate with IT and development teams to incorporate security into system design and development• Prepare comprehensive reports on security incidents, risks, and mitigation efforts for management
