We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the IT industry, specifically in New London, Connecticut. The role we seek to fill is that of a Desktop Support Analyst. The successful candidate will be tasked with a number of responsibilities, including providing IT support, configuring new devices, and maintaining existing installations.
Responsibilities:
Offering IT assistance based on staff requests and your detail-oriented judgement
Documenting all support requests in a thorough and timely manner
Determining the most effective methods of delivering the necessary support
Setting up new desktops, routers, modems, and other similar devices
Regularly inspecting and maintaining existing IT installations to ensure optimal performance
Keeping computer operating systems and other vital software up to date
Evaluating and verifying requests for hardware and software acquisitions or upgrades
Recommending suitable training programs for staff to enhance their IT skills and knowledge.
Requirements
Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or similar
Proven expertise in Desktop Hardware including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems and their associated applications
Knowledge and experience with Active Directory is necessary, particularly in managing user accounts and group policies
Familiarity with O 365 environment, including its setup, management, and troubleshooting is required
