Our client is seeking qualified an IT Desktop Support Technicians to play a critical role in phase two of their large-scale Windows 11 upgrade/replacement project. This ongoing initiative involves the replacement and upgrade of desktop PCs and software across multiple healthcare facilities, ensuring seamless transitions for end-users.
As a key part of the Implementation Team, you will handle device replacements and software installations for all users, ensuring an efficient and organized rollout process. This is an excellent opportunity for Level 1 IT helpdesk professionals looking to gain hands-on deployment experience in an enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy new desktop PCs in a variety of clinical and hospital settings in compliance with organizational standards.
- Upgrade existing PCs to Windows 11, performing all necessary configurations and ensuring compatibility with the organization’s software ecosystem.
- Install software and necessary security updates on all systems, maintaining standardization across devices.
- Verify device functionality post-deployment and assist users with basic troubleshooting during the transition.
- Ensure all asset management documentation is updated accurately during deployment (e.g., serial numbers, locations, and user assignments).
- Work collaboratively with other IT team members and departments to meet project deadlines.
- Provide outstanding onsite customer service in a business-casual but professional environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with desktops, including hardware configurations, Windows operating systems, and the ability to install software effectively.
- Experience Level: Entry-level experience equivalent to a Level 1 IT Helpdesk Technician is sufficient for this role. Prior hands-on experience with PC deployments is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical details to non-technical users effectively.
- Organized and Detail-Oriented: Ability to track logistical information and adhere to deployment schedules.
