Director of Accounting

Salary: $175000.00 to $195000.00 yearly

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry located in GARDEN CITY, New York. We are seeking a Director of Accounting to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, managing staff, and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of financial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Handle the reconciliation of multiple accounts to ensure accuracy
• Guide the team in the monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Supervise staff, fostering a well-organized and efficient work environment
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and CRM tools for effective management of accounting tasks
• Engage with ADP - Financial Services for financial transactions and processes
• Monitor and manage revenue recognition to ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Conduct regular auditing of financial processes to maintain accuracy and integrity
• Handle budget processes, ensuring the effective allocation of resources
• Report financial status and updates to stakeholders as necessary.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Accounting Software Systems
• Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Proven experience managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Demonstrated experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in Auditing
• Solid experience with Budget Processes within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industries
