In this role, you will primarily focus on managing client matters relating to employment issues such as harassment and wrongful termination. You will work in a collaborative environment, dealing with various responsibilities that include drafting letters, filing, and managing client packets.
Responsibilities
- Handling various client matters related to employment issues such as harassment and wrongful termination.
- Drafting and dispatching letters pertinent to client cases.
- Filing crucial documents and maintaining an organized record system.
- Managing client packets by filling out necessary information and ensuring its accurate completion.
- Handling incoming client calls, providing assistance and direction where necessary.
- Requesting and managing records essential for client cases.
- Scheduling and calendaring meetings, ensuring all relevant parties are informed.
- Scanning and properly categorizing incoming mail.
- Utilizing various software tools such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and CompuLaw to manage client cases and perform billing functions.
- Ensuring effective communication across the team and maintaining detail-oriented relationships with all stakeholders.
- Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Employment Paralegal.
- Proficiency in using Aderant software is required.
- Must be adept at using Adobe Acrobat for document handling.
- Experience with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Case Management Software is necessary.
- Must be proficient in using CompuLaw for legal practice management.
- Ability to handle billing functions efficiently is required.
- Experience in briefing and calendar management is necessary.
- Must be skilled in claim administration.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of Employment Law - Employee is necessary.
- Must have a strong foundation in general Employment Law.
- Experience as a Litigation Paralegal is mandatory.
- Proficiency in e-Filing is required.
- Must be adept in litigation - filing.
- Experience with court filing is necessary.
