We are seeking a File Clerk to join our team in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This role involves maintaining and organizing files, processing customer applications, and providing customer service. This is a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain paper and electronic files systematically.
- Retrieve files and records upon request for team members.
- Ensure files are correctly labeled and stored in compliance with company policies.
- Scan, photocopy, and upload documents to databases as needed.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure all files are accounted for and correctly filed.
- Dispose of outdated or unnecessary records following established retention guidelines.
- Respond to file access requests promptly while maintaining confidentiality.
- Perform additional administrative tasks, such as data entry and general office support, as required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative training is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role or knowledge of general office practices preferred.
- Proficiency in using filing systems, both paper and electronic.
- Familiarity with office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
