We are currently looking for an SEC Financial Reporting Analyst who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and producing accurate and timely external financial reports. This role involves managing complex accounting records and disclosures, preparing periodic filings (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q), and analyzing financial data that informs regulatory stakeholders about the company’s performance.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in SEC reporting regulations, a solid foundation in GAAP, and adaptability to evolving corporate governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- SEC Filings: Prepare, review, and submit quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery (Source: Robert Half internal job templates).
- Financial Reports: Conduct detailed analysis and prepare consolidated financial statements, including footnote disclosures.
- Accounting Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting standards, staying abreast of regulatory changes.
- Support Audits: Collaborate with internal and external auditors, assisting in audit procedures related to SEC filings and financial reporting.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with accounting, finance, and legal departments to facilitate smooth reporting processes.
- Process Optimization: Assist in the development and implementation of efficient processes for collecting and evaluating financial data.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not mandatory).
Experience:
- 2 years experience in SEC reporting, financial accounting, or public accounting (Big Four experience considered a plus).
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting standards, and SOX compliance.
- Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of financial reports.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with senior management and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
