We are seeking a Full-Time Engagement Professional to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will use your expertise in accounting and finance to assist with interim work and business-critical projects. This role is a fixed-term employment opportunity with long-term prospects in the industry.Responsibilities:• Assist with full-cycle accounting tasks, such as month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and AP/AR management.• Handle fixed asset management, including the creation and maintenance of depreciation schedules.• Conduct variance analysis and provide ad-hoc reporting as needed.• Participate in budget preparation and financial statement preparation.• Assist with audit support and compliance support, including implementing changes in professional standards like ASC 842 Lease Accounting, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, etc.• Document and improve procedures, policies, and processes.• Manage grants and perform cost accounting tasks.• Develop financial models and data visualizations for better business understanding and decision making.• Implement ERP systems and manage their regular updates and maintenance.• Utilize accounting software systems for efficient management of accounting functions.• Conduct risk assessment and ensure adherence to SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines.• Use Microsoft Excel for data modeling and analysis.
