A growing nonprofit Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Grant Analyst to join their growing team! The analyst will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting on a portfolio of government (federal, state, county, city) and foundation grants. This role requires close collaboration with program and department staff to ensure grant spending aligns with contract requirements and adheres to all regulatory standards, including the Uniform Grants Guidance and nonprofit accounting principles (e.g., restricted funds accounting). The Analyst will develop proficiency in grant billing operations and contribute to the daily functions of the department. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview and maintain a detailed understanding of assigned grant contracts, focusing on their financial components.Prepare and maintain up-to-date grant budget reports within the organization's accounting system and ensure accessibility across designated platforms.Generate monthly grant budget vs. actual reports, analyze variances, and present insights to program staff.Process and submit grant billings in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with all contractual and regulatory obligations
