We are in search of an HR Generalist to join our team in the construction industry located in Honolulu, Hawaii. As an HR Generalist, you will be integral in managing union relationships, ensuring compliance, and promoting cooperation between management and union representatives. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements.Responsibilities• Facilitate communication as the primary contact for all union-related matters, addressing issues professionally and promptly.• Interpret and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, including handling grievances.• Offer guidance to management on matters related to labor laws, disciplinary actions, and workplace policies.• Assist in the preparation of reports and development of strategies for labor negotiations to foster productive discussions between the union and management.• Support various HR functions, such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.• Conduct training sessions to enhance management understanding of labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and union relationships.• Stay informed on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance and reduce risks.• Collaborate effectively with union representatives, employees, and management to maintain a positive work environment.• Utilize HR systems including ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, and Dayforce for various HR tasks. • Manage Benefit Functions and ensure compliance with FMLA regulations.• Exhibit strong communication skills in all interactions.
