HR/Payroll Specialist

Salary: $50000.00 to $60000.00 yearly

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, located in Greeley, Colorado. We are seeking a HR/Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks ranging from payroll processing to employee relations, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process payroll for all employees, addressing any inquiries and resolving any discrepancies which may arise.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employees for any HR-related matters, addressing concerns and providing guidance on company policies and procedures.
• Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance and other perks, assisting employees with benefits enrollment and addressing any questions or issues.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, and incorporate these requirements into employee handbooks.
• Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
• Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, including employee files, payroll records, and benefits documentation.
• Work collaboratively with accounting for timely processing of payroll funding.
• Create payroll journal entries to record into ERP system.
• Keep updated with HR best practices and legal requirements.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an HR/Payroll Specialist or in a similar role within the Energy/Natural Resources industry
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems for effective and efficient payroll processing
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now for payroll management
• Familiarity with Ceridian for HR management and payroll services
• Ability to generate and analyze Crystal Reports for payroll data
• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration for employee retirement planning
• Proficiency in About Time for time and attendance management
• Understanding of various Accounting Functions related to payroll
• Auditing skills to ensure accuracy of payroll and related reports
• Experience in handling Benefit Functions including employee insurance, leaves, and compensation
