Description
We are on the search for an IT Manager to join our client's team in Madison, WI. As an IT Manager & Technical Lead, you will be leading a small team of IT engineers/admins, managing IT operations, and ensuring the functionality of the IT systems and network. You will also be involved in IT project management and will be expected to contribute to the progression of the technological infrastructure.
This is a Direct Hire role that will require a Hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
Lead technical teams and provide guidance on various projects
Manage the daily operations of IT department to ensure smooth workflow
Ensure the security and integrity of network infrastructure
Oversee IT projects from conception to completion
Hands-on management of Windows, Linux, Network, and DevOps operations
Maintain strong knowledge across all necessary skills and technologies
Assist in the mentorship and growth of team members
Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes and procedures
Requirements
Proven ability to manage and lead IT teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in driving IT project management to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Solid understanding of network infrastructure, capable of managing and optimizing IT resources.
Comprehensive knowledge of network security, implementing and maintaining security measures to safeguard company data.
Extensive experience with Windows and Linux Servers, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
Ability to develop and implement IT strategy in line with business objectives.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to resolve IT-related issues promptly and effectively.
Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
