We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an IT Software Asset Analyst in a major city in Indiana. This role is within the IT Software industry and includes the essential function of managing software assets to ensure accurate, detailed, and timely reporting of asset repository, contracts, and renewals.Responsibilities:• Accurately update and monitor ticketing and spend management systems• Conduct in-depth analysis and research on software titles and licensing• Assist in the negotiation with vendors and obtain quotes for new software purchases or renewals• Coordinate lifecycle communications and planning with relevant stakeholders• Perform root cause analysis related to identified gaps and data trends• Lead and organize meetings or calls, documenting activities, actions, and assignments in the ticketing systems• Support the engineering team by identifying application packaging needs• Review and improve processes related to software lifecycle management• Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful deployment of processes• Manage software contracts renewal and acquisitions• Contribute to version control and application end of support awareness through research and analysis.
