Opportunity for a Jr Controller to join team in Miami Lakes, Florida. As a Jr Controller, you will be tasked with full-cycle accounting and financial reporting, managing accounts payable, billing, and invoicing, and preparing financial statements. You will also handle account entries and reconciliations, as well as profit and loss reporting. The ideal candidate has experience with the preparation of contractual payment applications, also known as "pay apps" in the construction industry.

Schedule; standard business hours and flexible with 4 days In office and 1 day Remote after acclimation.
Salary : $75,000-$90,000; possible discretionary bonus

Responsibilities : (Construction experience and with "pay apps" is required
- Oversee full cycle accounting and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage Accounts Payable, including processing payments and maintaining accurate records
- Handle billing and invoicing, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for
- Assist with the preparation of contractual payment applications, also known as "pay apps" in the construction industry
- Prepare financial statements and conduct month-end closing procedures
- Manage account entries and reconciliations, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and accurate
- Handle profit and loss reporting, providing insights into the company's profitability
- Understand and utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks
- Gain familiarity with the construction industry to better handle specific tasks such as "pay apps" for clients on contracts
- Review and manage the balance sheet, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with "pay apps" from the construction industry.
- Experience with financail reports and P& L.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel software is required.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
