Litigation Paralegal

Salary: $28.50 to $34.00 hourly

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team at a law firm in Long Beach, CA. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in supporting our legal team, focusing on civil litigation cases. Proficiency in propounding and responding to discovery is essential for this position. Experience in injury law and elder abuse cases will be considered a significant plus. This opportunity is contract to direct hire and will offer stability with a highly successful firm, who passionately provides representation to individuals who have been taken advantage of harmed by those expected to provide exceptional care. Key Responsibilities

• Discovery: Effectively propound and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Document Review and Management: Organize, analyze, and summarize case-related documents for attorney review.
• Legal Research: Search case law, statutes, and procedural rules to assist attorneys in case preparation.
• Case Preparation: Assist in drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents as required.
• Client Interaction: Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and manage follow-ups as necessary.
• Trial Preparation: Organize trial binders, exhibits, and other materials to ensure readiness for court proceedings.
• Administrative Support: Handle calendaring deadlines, filing documents with courts, and managing case files efficiently.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Discovery process in litigation, including gathering and presenting information
• Experience in handling Discovery Requests in a timely and effective manner
• Ability to prepare comprehensive Discovery Responses to opposing parties
• Knowledge and experience in Civil Litigation practices and procedures
• Expertise in Personal Injury Litigation, including case preparation and court proceedings is a plus
