Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer at our location in Riverside, California. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving manufacturing processes, optimizing welding operations, and supporting production teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety. This role will also involve the development, implementation, and management of facility weld programs, as well as the design and maintenance of welding automation equipment.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive facility weld program in line with company standards
Optimize welding operations and drive manufacturing improvements to enhance productivity and safety
Oversee the site weld program, including WPS/PQR, Welder Certifications, and equipment automation programs
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for various welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and others
Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure welding processes adhere to industry standards and customer specifications
Lead the design, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing projects related to welding and fabrication
Train production staff on proper welding techniques, equipment operation, and best practices
Work closely with Sales Administration to understand and meet customer welding requirements
Create and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, process sheets, and project reports
Recommend, procure, and oversee the maintenance of welding equipment and tools.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar role
Proficiency in Mechanical Assembly, Mechanical Design, and Mechanical Components
Experience with Mechanical Drawings and Mechanical Engineering
Familiarity with Mechanical Equipment and Mechanical Systems
Skilled in Welding and Welding Inspection
Knowledge of Semiconductor Fabrication and Lean Manufacturing
Experience in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Assembly, and Manufacturing Engineering
Understanding of Manufacturing Equipment and Manufacturing Practices
Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 and ISO Standards
Proven experience in Quality Control, Equipment Calibration, and Equipment Maintenance
Ability to specify Equipment, Material Handling Equipment, Production Equipment, and Safety Equipment
Experience with CNC Equipment and CNC Machines
Understanding of Non-Conforming processes
Proficiency in CAD Software and MRP - Material Requirements Planning
Experience with MRP ERP System and Microsoft Office Suites
Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus
Proven experience in promoting a Continuous Improvement Culture and Drive Continuous Improvement
Experience in Machine Design is desirable
