We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Network Engineer in Tallahassee, Florida. This role will be centered around network systems, including the planning, development, integration, and maintenance of these systems. The Network Engineer will also be tasked with ensuring optimal performance, compliance, and security within our networking environment.Responsibilities: • Forecasting, planning and identifying resource requirements for network systems of moderate complexity, including wireless networks.• Playing a role in the design and development of network architecture and engineering solutions.• Merging communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling protocols into comprehensive network configurations.• Deploying and maintaining network systems, such as Palo Alto, Cisco, and VOIP solutions.• Implementing cloud networking configurations and ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.• Monitoring network performance metrics and preemptively identifying potential issues.• Developing technical standards, best practices, and interface applications for network operations and documenting these.• Maintaining documentation for network configurations and system changes.• Resolving network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.• Managing and maintaining cloud networking environments, ensuring secure and efficient access to cloud services.• Implementing VOIP systems and ensuring seamless voice communication across the network.• Integrating security measures, such as firewalls and authentication protocols, into the network infrastructure.• Identifying, tracking, and resolving potential risks and vulnerabilities within the network environment.• Utilizing in-depth knowledge of Palo Alto, Cisco, and cloud networking tools to deliver robust solutions.• Keeping up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and certifications to maintain technical proficiency.
