Analyst – Investment Operations
Location: Twin Cities Area
Are you an experienced Investment Operations professional looking to grow your career in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment? A leading financial services firm in the Twin Cities seeks an Analyst to join their Operations team, managing trade capture, settlement, and lifecycle events for debt-related investments. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, this role offers exposure to key stakeholders across Investment Professionals, Middle Office, Accounting, Treasury, and Tax.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with brokers, custodians, and third-party administrators for transaction settlement and reconciliation.
- Perform booking of non-exchange-traded products and daily cash/position reconciliations.
- Set up securities and maintain data in a security master.
- Act as a liaison with Investment Professionals and support departments (Accounting, Treasury, etc.).
- Lead initiatives to drive operational efficiency and enhance processes.
- 2-7 years of Operations experience, preferably in a credit-focused or debt investment firm.
- Familiarity with fixed income, structured finance, and private debt.
- Proficiency in Excel and Outlook; experience with tools such as Bloomberg, CTM, MarkitWire, ICE, and ClearPar (preferred).
- Coding skills (Tableau/Sigma/Python/SQL) are a plus.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks.

Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Financial Services industry
- Proven experience in Investment Operations
- Strong understanding and experience in Debt Settlement
- Proficiency in Fixed Income Investments and Fixed Income Trading
- Experience in Cash Reconciliations
- Demonstrated skills in Trading within a Financial Services context
- Knowledge and experience in Institutional Investment
- Experience working in or with an Investment Company
- Strong skills in Investment Management
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field is preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of financial software and databases is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
