We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join a nonprofit in Lexington, Kentucky. In this role, you will support a variety of legal and administrative functions, including rule-making processes, compliance monitoring, and document preparation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational operations.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the organization's rulebook, ensuring timely updates and publication of approved changes.
- Train internal teams and stakeholders on the procedures for submitting rule change proposals.
- Collaborate with departments to identify opportunities for improving the rule change process and make it more user-friendly.
- Review proposed rule changes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
- Draft and proofread legal documents, including agreements, correspondence, and disciplinary proceeding materials.
- Support Senior Counsel in the preparation of documents for subpoenas and disciplinary hearings.
- Conduct audits to monitor the effectiveness of rule changes and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure all rule changes comply with formatting standards and are free from errors.
- Manage legal requests and provide data analytics as needed.
- Facilitate training sessions and create documentation to educate staff on new rules and their implications.
- Relevant legal experience in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of legislative issues, administrative law, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in drafting and proofreading legal documents, including agreements and correspondence.
- Ability to manage and track legal requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Experience with rule change management and familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, including the ability to conduct training sessions.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance audits.
- Proficient in using data analytics to support legal and administrative functions.
