We are in search of a Payroll Accountant to join our team in Bellevue, Washington. In this role, you will be expected to handle various payroll-related tasks, including processing employee payroll, maintaining precise payroll records in our system, and handling any discrepancies that may arise. This role also requires regular auditing and reconciliation of payroll data, as well as collaboration with various divisions within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Handle the processing of payroll for employees.
- Maintain and manage employee payroll records in SAP, including auditing and reconciling any discrepancies.
- Process manual, non-standard or correction transactions as needed.
- Develop and maintain contacts within our organization, including Human Resources, Accounting, and Benefits divisions.
- Uphold a reputation for trustworthiness and timely delivery of quality work.
- Input information for off-cycle payroll runs when necessary.
- Assist with the month-end payroll accounting close, including creating journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Conduct audits of payroll personnel files to ensure compliance with company policy, procedures, and authorizations.
- Manage and maintain employee records, such as W4 forms and bank account numbers.
- Address and resolve any check issues, including creating manual checks when necessary.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory
- Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is essential
- Knowledge of Ceridian software is necessary
- Must be comfortable using Concur
- Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration is vital
- Proficiency in About Time software is beneficial
- Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is necessary
- Familiarity with Accrual Accounting is mandatory
- Auditing skills are essential
