Responsibilities
- Accurately process and maintain all payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, taxes, deductions, and other withholdings.
- Ensure the accurate and timely input of all compensation details in the payroll system, such as hourly rates, bonuses, per diem, and other compensations.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal payroll and wage laws, and uphold best practices.
- Handle the processing of prevailing wage rates accurately.
- Address any payroll discrepancies and respond to all employee payroll-related inquiries.
- Conduct audits and process fringe benefits like mileage.
- Manage certified payroll reporting using Points North.
- Oversee pay cards for employees who are not able to use direct deposit.
- Administer the 401(k) benefit plan, including handling weekly 401-k ACH deposits, distributions, and RMDs.
- Manage UKG processes related to payroll and job costing, including job configuration and data input for certified payrolls.
- Process Verification of Employment (VOE) requests and assist other departments with needed reporting.
- Position: Payroll Administrator
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in UKG Pro software
- Certification in Payroll is required
- Knowledge of Prevailing Wage is essential
- Experience in handling Multi-state Payroll is necessary
