We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The role predominantly involves managing and processing payroll, maintaining accurate employee records and responding to payroll-related inquiries. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Process employee payroll with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely payments and compliance with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date payroll records, including time and attendance, vacations, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Manage and administer garnishment orders, child support payments, and unemployment claims in accordance with legal mandates.
- Guarantee the accurate and timely execution of payroll and provide necessary reports to the Accounting department
- Monitor and document adherence to required and optional training programs, continuing education, and performance evaluations.
- Keep personnel files current, complete, and accurate, following organizational policies and relevant regulations.
- Support recruitment efforts, conducting candidate interviews and facilitating the placement of applicants in open roles.
- Oversee new employee onboarding, implement orientation processes, and organize employee recognition initiatives.
- Reconcile benefits-related invoices and address employment-related inquiries from candidates, employees, and supervisors.
- Actively participate in employee relations activities, including disciplinary meetings and investigations
- Proficiency in Full Cycle Payroll is a must
- Familiarity with HRIS Payroll System is required
- Experience with Multi-state Payroll is necessary
- General knowledge and understanding of Payroll principles is essential
- Experience handling Payroll for 101 - 500 Employees is required
- Ability to manage Payroll across multiple states is needed
- Understanding of all Payroll Functions is essential
- Proficiency in using Payroll software is a must
- Ability to Process Payroll in a timely and accurate manner is required
- Experience with New Permanent Orientations is beneficial
- Familiarity with Onboarding processes is needed
- Knowledge of HR Compliance laws and regulations is necessary
