We are in search of a meticulous Payroll Specialist to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this role, you will be tasked with handling payroll processing, reconciling payroll accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities• Ensure the timely approval of employee timecards and process bi-weekly payrolls for multiple companies• Gather and process tips, commissions, and incentives reports with bi-weekly payrolls• Collaborate with HR to accurately account for employee reimbursements and benefit deductions• Generate payroll reports for multiple companies, including intercompany payrolls and benefit reports• Maintain precise payroll records and documentation for financial tracking and audits• Record payroll expenses and liabilities in the accounting software• Post intercompany payroll allocations for all companies and maintain reports for 401k, FSA, agency payments• Conduct payroll account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies in financial data• Reconcile insurance benefits to carrier invoices and 401k, FSA, agency liabilities• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements• Provide support during financial audits related to payroll and prepare Work Comp audits for multiple companies• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize the protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
