Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees. This role will require a solid understanding of payroll systems, compliance with federal and state regulations, and effective communication with employees regarding payroll inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payrolls for all employees on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Verify timesheets, employee attendance, and hours worked.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including wage adjustments, bonuses, overtime, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Process new hires, terminations, and payroll changes (e.g., raises, benefits elections).
- Administer and report on benefits, garnishments, tax deductions, and other withholdings.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports and ensure proper withholding calculations for taxes.
- Handle inquiries from employees regarding pay, deductions, and benefits.
- Generate and distribute payroll-related reports (e.g., payroll summaries, tax forms).
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee payroll data.
- Assist in audits and prepare documentation as necessary.
- Continuously review and improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in data entry and payroll calculations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in payroll (e.g., CPP) are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
