We are offering a Iron Mountain, MI, for a Payroll Specialist. The job function involves meticulous handling of payroll operations, maintaining employee records, and processing accounts payable in the industry. This role provides a hybrid workplace setting, with part of the week spent in the office and the rest working remotely.
Responsibilities :
- Accurate processing of weekly payroll for both union and non-union employees
- Filing federal and state payroll taxes in a timely manner
- Managing and updating IBEW trust accounts
- Ensuring accurate tracking of wage changes per union contract
- Efficient handling of FMLA time and keeping a record of it
- Daily posting of cash receipts
- Maintaining employee files in the ERP system
- Tracking vacation and sick leave accrival for all employees
- Running accounts payable checks on a weekly basis
- Efficient processing of accounts payable vouchers as needed
- Willingness to work extra hours when required.
- Proficiency in Office Functions
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
- Expertise in Payroll processing
- Familiarity with the 'About Time' software
- Ability to handle Cash transactions
- Knowledge of Payroll Functions and procedures
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Experience with ERP Solutions
- Understanding of Accrual Accounting
- Ability to calculate Wages accurately
- Knowledge of FMLA regulations
- Ability to manage Overtime calculations
- Experience with Weekly Payroll
- Understanding of Payroll Taxes
- Knowledge of Retirement Plan management
- Experience with Health Savings Account management
- Experience working in a Non-Union environment
- Ability to manage a Trust Account
- Familiarity with Iron Mountain protocols
- Proficiency in Accounting Functions
- Experience with KCT Credit Union preferred
