Position Summary:
The Plant Controller will be a key member of the finance team, providing critical analytical support, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring sound financial management for the manufacturing plant. The role will encompass both strategic planning and hands-on financial operations, serving as a business partner to the plant’s leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial activities of the manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and monthly close processes.
- Analyze plant performance metrics to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
- Partner with the plant leadership team to drive financial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Manage and enhance costing models for manufacturing activities and ensure accurate inventory valuation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, U.S. GAAP, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Provide in-depth financial reporting and insights to support decision-making processes.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the plant’s accounting team.
- Identify and implement solutions for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Active CPA designation (required).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance/accounting, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and general ledger processes.
- Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team.
Salary : $125,000 - $160,000
