We are in search of a Purchasing Agent to become a part of our team in the Construction/Contractor industry. Based in Altamonte Springs, Florida, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process, from analyzing requisitions to coordinating deliveries. This role involves interacting with suppliers, processing purchase orders, and maintaining systematic records.Responsibilities:• Analyze and process requisitions with a keen eye for accuracy and detail• Establish a working relationship with reliable suppliers and vendors to discuss product/material specifications and secure advantageous pricing• Prepare, process, and verify purchase orders in strict adherence to company guidelines• Ensure timely delivery of orders by maintaining regular follow-ups• Coordinate the delivery of materials to job sites, ensuring materials align with project specifications• Use knowledge of material work planning and procedures to schedule product deliveries and support project production cycles• Resolve discrepancies related to over-shipments, shortages, freight claims, and return material, as well as supplier/vendor pricing• Maintain a systematic filing system for purchase orders for audit compliance• Schedule the procurement of necessary items for continuous production cycles using knowledge of machines and equipment• Negotiate optimal vendor terms, pricing, and delivery schedules while keeping budget requirements and project timelines in mind• Work closely with internal teams to ensure procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently.
