Responsibilities:• Analyze construction/project plans to determine necessary material inventory• Identify cost-saving opportunities by thoroughly examining bid spreads• Develop forecasts for material and supply costs, considering project scope and timelines• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of subcontractor capabilities and pricing structures to facilitate effective purchasing decisions• Collaborate effectively with project managers to ensure seamless operations• Negotiate purchase agreements, fostering strong vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective procurement• Monitor and manage inventory levels, proactively placing reorders to avoid delays and ensure accuracy• Utilize knowledge of residential construction processes, materials, and timelines to plan purchasing and inventory accurately• Leverage skills in accounting software systems, budget processes, buying processes, purchasing functions, and inventory forecasting.
