Description
Long term contract opportunity for a QA Analyst with one of our top Southern California clients. This role involves ensuring the quality of our products by establishing and maintaining quality standards, developing test strategies, and coordinating with various team members.
Responsibilities:
Establishing and implementing quality standards and metrics for various projects
Creating and refining both automated and manual testing plans to ensure product quality
Participating in sprint planning meetings to integrate QA tasks effectively
Identifying potential project risks and developing plans to mitigate them
Writing, reviewing, and executing test cases and scripts for various types of testing including unit, functional, performance, stress, and acceptance
Logging, tracking, and ensuring the resolution of defects
Implementing and maintaining automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency
Attending daily standup meetings to provide updates on QA status and address any obstacles
Regularly communicating with stakeholders to provide updates on QA progress and quality metrics
Collaborating with developers, product owners, and other team members to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
Continually evaluating and improving QA processes and tools to enhance efficiency
Providing guidance and training to entry level QA team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
Exceptional communication skills are required to effectively liaise with stakeholders, suppliers, and team members.
Proficiency in reporting and metric reporting is necessary for tracking progress and performance.
Previous experience in training and developing team members is essential.
Strong planning skills are needed, including the ability to establish and manage planning processes.
A strong focus on quality is required, including experience in quality assurance.
Demonstrable leadership skills are necessary to guide and motivate the team.
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Python and Java programming languages is essential.
Familiarity with conductivity principles is a plus.
Strong collaboration skills are needed to work effectively within a team.
Experience in process improvement, risk management, and defect management is critical.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate a track record of driving progress in previous roles.
