We are on the lookout for a proficient Revenue Cycle / Billing Manager to be a part of our team. The selected candidate will take charge of processing customer applications, maintaining precise customer records, and addressing customer queries. Furthermore, you will be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the daily tasks of the revenue cycle department, which includes billing, coding, collections, and processing of claims.
- Train, mentor, and assess the performance of the revenue cycle staff (14) to ensure productivity and quality.
- Develop and implement strategies to amplify revenue cycle processes, minimize errors, and expedite cash flow.
- Ensure all billing and collection activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, including coding standards and insurance policies.
- Identify and resolve issues associated with patient billing, claim denials, and discrepancies in payments.
- Prepare and present regular reports on the status of accounts, collections, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless and accurate billing operations and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Manage relationships with external vendors for practice management software and clearinghouse services.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and data privacy in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct periodic audits and analyses of the Utility Billing System to ensure system integrity and to minimize any potential revenue loss.
- Ensure that all offices obtain accurate bi-weekly reporting.
- Liaise with the operations manager for each clinic.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Revenue Cycle / Billing Manager role or similar.
- Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems.
- Demonstrated experience in Auditing.
- Familiarity with Medical Billing procedures and regulations.
- Experience in Ambulatory Surgery billing is essential.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding system.
- Proficiency in using various Billing Software-Waystar and AdvancedMD preferred.
- Ability to manage and oversee revenue cycle processes effectively.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.
