Description
Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill an Investment Accountant position with a large family office in Reno. The role is part of a team that performs all accounting, reconciliation, record keeping, and investment performance reporting for diversified investment portfolios that span nearly all segments of the global capital markets.
Process daily cash transactions and reconcile internal reports against the custodian and manager records
Review general ledger and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed
Process accounts payable invoices
Process money movement transactions with the custodian bank
Assist in the preparation of lead sheets and accounting schedules related to the quarterly and annual financial statements
Able to answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Identify opportunities to improve business processes, recommending changes
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as requested
Eligible Candidates Should Have
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
CPA preferred or minimum of 5 to 7 years of accounting experience
Proficiency in technology, with emphasis on data analytics (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
Demonstrate strong critical thinking and the ability to communicate succinct ideas using relevant information and data
Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
Detail oriented, ability to meet deadlines, and able to prioritize
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
