We are on the lookout for a Senior Accountant to join our team in the hospitality industry located in Dallas, Texas. In this hybrid role, you will be tasked with supervising multiple staff accountants to produce accurate internal financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This role also involves monitoring the results of operations and management reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Responsible for leading assigned staff accountants during month-end close for multiple entities and locations to :
o Review, approve and ensure that transactions are recorded and reconciled to subsystems as required
o Review and record all monthly inventory counts and related COGS, prepaid and accrual journal entries, among others
o Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts, and adjust as needed
o Review and approve staff’s balance sheet account reconciliations, providing guidance and assistance to resolve outstanding items
o Prepare and oversee timely and accurate bank account reconciliations to include researching and recording any outstanding items
o Conduct analytical review of statements of operations and balance sheets and document monthly variances in partnership with site general managers and staff
o Participating in weekly assets calls with corporate teams and locations
