As a Senior Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of financial responsibilities, including maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audit activities, and assisting in budget preparation.Responsibilities:• Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data by maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts• Processing transactions related to accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all supporting documents and approvals are verified • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, monthly reports, and analyses of budget variances• Collaborating with program managers to keep track of project budgets, expenses, and grants• Providing necessary documentation and support to auditors during the annual audit process• Preparing and submitting regulatory reports and filings as required by funding sources and government agencies• Contributing to the creation and implementation of internal controls and financial policies• Staying informed about the latest nonprofit accounting standards and best practices.
