Our nonprofit membership trade association client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to handle financial operations and support strategic initiatives within our organization. The ideal Senior Accountant candidate will bring expertise in nonprofit accounting standards, financial reporting, and compliance while contributing to the association's mission of fostering growth and value for our members. The Senior Accountant role reports directly into the CFO and is hybrid with REMOTE days on Monday and Friday. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management: Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger transactions Monthly Close Process: Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with leadership to assist in developing, maintaining, and tracking the organization's annual budget and periodic forecasts.Grant & Fund Management: Ensure compliance with grant requirements, proper allocation to funding sources, and reconciliation of restricted and unrestricted funds.Audit Support: Prepare documentation and assist during annual audits to ensure compliance with nonprofit and accounting regulatory requirementsERP Software Utilization: Optimize and manage ERP systems for operational efficiency and financial reporting Financial Reporting: Provide accurate reporting to stakeholders, including members and board of directors, on the organization's financial position and key metrics Compliance: Stay up to date with nonprofit-specific regulations, IRS guidelines (i.e., 990 filings), and monitor all financial activities for adherence to policies and legal requirements.For immediate consideration call Jimmy Tunney at 517-657-8054
