Senior Accountant

Robert Half seeks a Sr. Accountant for our Non-Profit client: • Prepares and maintains financial records and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.• Monitors and reviews general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness.• Assists in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. • Reviews and reconciles accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.• Identifies and implements process improvements to streamline accounting procedures.• Conducts internal audits to assess financial controls and identifies areas for improvement.• Provides support during external audits and ensures compliance with audit requirements.• Coordinates the preparation and submission of various tax returns and filings.• Assists in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.• Acts as backup for all junior positions.• Supervises the work of others, including planning, assigning, and scheduling work, reviewing work, and ensuring quality standards.• Facilitates individual and team meetings and huddles and ensures staff attends required trainings and agency-related events.• Assists in the hiring, terminating, training, developing, performance review, and corrective action plans for staff.• Communicates progress reports and analysis to leadership, reporting staff, and volunteers.• Plans and coordinates the development, implementation, and execution of programs, special projects, and other initiatives designed to achieve the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the department.• Assists in the development and administration of budgets, policies, projects, and programs.• Utilizes technical expertise to complete all assigned tasks with an emphasis on quality and timeliness.• Builds and maintains relationships and regularly collaborates with internal and external stakeholders.• Ensures that work adheres to local, state, and federal governmental regulations, and other applicable rules and requirements.• Uses virtual collaboration platforms to perform work as necessary (e.g. Zoom or Teams).

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
