Senior Accountant

Salary: $80000.00 to $100000.00 yearly

Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The selected candidate will be based in the Morgan City, Louisiana area. This role is primarily focused on the Manufacturing Cost Accounting sector, with significant emphasis on SAP. Offering an exciting opportunity, with a hard-working, well-tenured team.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing all aspects of the month-end close process.
• Utilizing SAP system for various accounting tasks and operations.
• Implementing and executing manufacturing cost accounting procedures.
• Supervising plant accounting activities and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Conducting regular audits and assisting in the preparation of financial reports.
• Providing guidance and support to the accounting team as needed.
• Collaborating with other departments to streamline accounting processes.
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures

Requirements

• 4 year accounting degree and 7 years of experience in the field of accounting.
• Proficiency in using SAP software for accounting purposes.
• Extensive experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting.
