The role is based in a major city in Illinois, United States, and includes a comprehensive array of responsibilities including maintaining financial accuracy, managing revenue recognition, and collaborating cross-functionally.Responsibilities:• Overseeing GAAP-compliant revenue recognition, ensuring adherence to ASC 606.• Performing reconciliations of accounts receivable and revenue between billing systems and general ledger.• Investigating and documenting findings on variances in revenue-related accounts.• Posting revenue-related accruals and deferrals during month-end and year-end close.• Maintaining bad debt reserves and contractual allowances schedules.• Enhancing internal controls and standard operating procedures for revenue accounting workflows.• Collaborating with billing and collections teams to ensure proper revenue cut-off and accuracy.• Tracking receivables related to directorship contracts and calculating accruals for physician compensation.• Collaborating with legal and operational teams to maintain payment approvals and comprehensive documentation.• Working closely with FP& A and operations teams to analyze payer mix, volume trends, and revenue drivers, providing insights into financial risks and opportunities stemming from revenue trends.
