Description
We are seeking a skilled Service Desk Technician to join our team. This role is based in Mentor, Ohio, and operates within the IT industry. As a Service Desk Technician, you will be primarily responsible for providing first-tier support to our team members, handling inquiries, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and maintaining comprehensive records of your interactions with customers.
Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for our employees, providing top-tier Service Desk support.
Handle phone-based queries and issues from end-users swiftly and effectively.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with hardware, software, and business applications.
Keep comprehensive records of customer interactions and the steps taken to troubleshoot issues.
Conduct repairs related to computer hardware and software.
Provide support to facilities across various locations, including remote and home-based users.
Monitor the ticketing system and respond to assignments promptly.
Escalate issues as necessary, notifying the appropriate IT resources.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide Service Desk support outside of regular hours.
Configure and deploy mobile devices, and manage wireless administration.
Create and maintain standard operating procedures and knowledge articles.
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role as a Service Desk Technician
Proficiency in managing License Agreements
Deep understanding of Desktop Hardware
Strong experience in providing Desktop Support
Proven ability to provide Remote Desktop Support
Skilled in Break Fix methodologies
Experience in IT project management
Familiarity with the ServiceNow Platform
