We are seeking a Service Desk to join our team in the manufacturing industry. As a Service Desk you will be instrumental in providing technical support and assistance to customers, resolving their issues, and maintaining an efficient system of operation. This role provides an opportunity for contract to hire employment. This is a 100% remote role, Sat- Sun 5am to 5pm and Mon- Tues 8-4pm. Responsibilities:
• Responding to technical support requests using ServiceNow or phone to assist customers with their software, hardware, or other computer system issues
• Providing training to other staff members on effective troubleshooting and problem diagnosis
• Creating, editing, and updating training manuals for new and updated software and hardware
• Writing, editing, and revising knowledge articles to share technical information
• Diagnosing system errors and other issues to ensure smooth operation
• Following up with customers to verify issues have been fully resolved
• Installing or changing software as needed to address issues
• Remotely accessing clients' hardware or software to make changes and fix problems
• Utilizing Microsoft and ServiceNow skills for effective problem resolution.
• Would like someone with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Help Desk Analyst role or similar IT support role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience with ServiceNow IT service management software
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical issues to non-technical users
• Strong customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive user experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
• Experience with network troubleshooting and network infrastructure is a plus
• ITIL certification is preferred but not required.
