Software Developer II (SE Junior Pipeline) (Contractor)

Description

We are seeking a driven and talented Software Developer II to join our team in a contract-to-permanent role. This position involves designing, implementing, testing, and refining software solutions, primarily focusing on backend development. You will work collaboratively within a supportive environment to design scalable systems and provide innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement backend services and web applications using Python and/or Node.js.
• Develop scalable APIs to efficiently handle advertisement requests.
• Store, retrieve, and process data efficiently with database integrations.
• Deploy and manage applications in AWS cloud environments, leveraging CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance optimization for software components.
• Maintain documentation for all development activities and processes.
• Adhere to project timelines and apply project management principles as needed.
• Evaluate software integration requirements and determine optimal solutions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Experience: 1-3 years of professional backend development experience preferred. Exceptional entry level candidates with strong computer science fundamentals may also be considered.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js. Experience with other programming languages and foundational computer science principles will be considered.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and performance optimization techniques.

Soft Skills:

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and make effective decisions.

Preferred Attributes:

• Passion for backend development. (Note: This role is not suited for candidates seeking UI/UX-focused positions.)
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize application performance.
