As a Sr. Accountant, you will contribute significantly to job cost tracking, project cost analysis, and provide financial insights to aid strategic business decisions.Responsibilities:• Oversee and maintain the job cost accounting system, ensuring all costs are correctly recorded and allocated to the right projects.• Analyze project costs, track discrepancies, and prepare detailed job cost reports for management review.• Monitor project budgets, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to project managers and leadership.• Review vendor invoices and purchase orders related to specific projects and ensure timely payments.• Work closely with project managers to ensure job costs align with project timelines and budgets.• Assist in forecasting future costs and ensuring job profitability throughout the project lifecycle.• Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making for ongoing and upcoming projects.• Ensure proper internal controls are in place to safeguard financial data and prevent errors or fraud.• Continuously evaluate accounting processes for efficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and effectiveness.• Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.• Manage accounts receivable, ensuring all payments are collected and applied appropriately.• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and schedules of job cost accounts and all balance sheet accounts.• Prepare and review financial statements with a focus on job costing and project profitability.• Ensure all financial data is accurately reported in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
