Sr. Accountant

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in GLEN BURNIE, Maryland. Your role will involve a variety of accounting functions, including financial reporting, maintaining accounting records, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. This opportunity offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Oversee the processing of billing and maintenance of accounts receivables• Participate in the creation of operational plans in alignment with broader financial objectives• Conduct financial analysis to guide capital investment decisions• Support annual audit and tax preparation activities• Maintain effective communication with both internal team members and external partners• Drive continuous improvements in processes• Collaborate with Corporate HR on tasks such as benefit cost analysis and employee notifications• Ensure accurate valuation of inventories• Provide timely and accurate financial information and performance measurements to management• Monitor and report on variances to plans, projections, and key effectiveness measures
