- Manage vendors and manufacturers, assessing their capabilities, and evaluating their performance
- Negotiate prices and delivery, and resolve issues regarding delivery, pricing, returns, etc.
- Identify opportunities for improvement projects within the continuous improvement framework
- Balance buy quantities with delivery times to optimize inventory turns
- Interact with various internal and external departments to ensure all processes/procedures are maintained
- Maintain department records, following up on purchases and expedite when required
- Ensure appropriate documents are used, stating terms and conditions
- Prioritize customer on time shipments and departmental requests
- Maintain databases within the materials section to ensure proficient operation of the ERP system
- Utilize skills in CRM, Crystal Reports, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Management System, About Time, Buying Processes, Compliance, Customer Service, Documentation, Excel Formulas, and Microsoft Excel
