Sr. Buyer

Description

Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced Sr. Buyer to support a manufacturing client in Brookville, OH. In this role, you will play a vital role in managing the purchasing of raw materials, machinery, tools, and supplies. You will also be tasked with maintaining inventory levels to meet forecasted sales and planning the production of finished goods as required. This is a contract role, with potential for conversion. Role is based 100% onsite at the client's location in Brookville, OH.

Responsibilities

• Managing the procurement of raw materials, machinery, tools, and supplies to meet production requirements.
• Maintaining accurate inventory levels of raw materials to support forecasted sales and production needs.
• Utilizing SAP Purchasing module to manage procurement and inventory activities.
• Planning and coordinating the production of finished goods based on sales forecasts and inventory levels.
• Ensuring accurate system information, including open purchase quantities, delivery dates, lead times, and inventory levels.
• Planning all sourcing and shipping activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
• Proficiently using Google Docs and Excel for documentation and data analysis.
• Replacing previous team member who leaves at the end of the month.
• Adapting to on-site work environment and collaborating with team members.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior buyer role or similar position
• Proven expertise in procurement processes and strategies
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the global supply chain
• Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is essential
• Proficiency in using SAP or similar ERP systems
• Demonstrated experience in managing raw material inventory
• Proven track record of purchasing materials for manufacturing purposes
