Sr. Staff Accountant

Salary: $25.00 to $31.00 hourly

Description

Our client, an oil and gas distribution organization, is offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Staff Accountant in Monroe, Louisiana, 71201, United States. This position will involve managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This is an on-site role in Monroe, La with flexible work hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, including managing vendor invoices and customer payments.
• Assist in the closure of financial periods on a monthly and yearly basis, which includes creating journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Monitor the company's cash flow and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Ensure that all records and documentation are maintained accurately for auditing purposes.
• Collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external auditors when required.
• Undertake additional accounting-related tasks as and when necessary.
• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel and accounting ERP to manage and analyze financial data.
• Maintain the general ledger and assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure all account reconciliations are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Manage the month-end close process.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is essential
• Must have experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Expertise in conducting Bank Reconciliations is required
• Solid understanding of General Ledger management
• Capability to manage Journal Entries effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Familiarity with NetSuite software is a must
• Oracle software experience is required
• Knowledge of SAP software is necessary
