We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team operating in the manufacturing sector in Clinton, Massachusetts. We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team operating in the manufacturing sector in Clinton, Massachusetts. As a Staff Accountant, you will play an instrumental role in our accounting department, directly reporting to the Accounting Manager, and contributing to various accounting procedures, including general ledger maintenance, monthly closing processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly reporting packages.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
- Ensure the maintenance of precise customer credit records
- Handle the General Ledger operations and maintain its accuracy
- Execute journal entries as part of the accounting functions
- Facilitate the month-end close process timely and accurately
- Perform reconciliations and manage expense tracking efficiently
- Contribute to the monthly reporting package preparation
- Support the internal audit processes
- Assist in managing some aspects of the Accounts Payable process
- Take part in financial audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Proven proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
- Demonstrated experience in Bank Reconciliations
- Solid understanding of General Ledger management
- Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries
- Experience in Month End Close procedures
- Expertise in Accruals management
- Experience in Audit - Financial is desirable
