Blended Network/Systems Administrator

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Blended Network/Systems Administrator to join our team and be a key player in supporting our clients' IT needs.
About the Role:
This is a Tier 3, highest-level technical role within our company, providing escalated support for our service and project teams. You will be a customer-facing representative of our brand, requiring excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This role blends deep networking expertise with a strong Microsoft systems background, encompassing design, implementation, and support.
Responsibilities:
- Networking: Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including VLANs, firewalls (Fortinet primarily, experience with Cisco/Ubiquiti a plus), and routing protocols. Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide escalated support.
- Microsoft Systems: Manage and support Microsoft environments, including Azure, O365, Active Directory (AD), and Hyper-V. Experience with VMware is beneficial, but a strong understanding of Hyper-V is crucial as we transition clients to this platform.
- Firewall Management: Design, configure, and interface with firewalls (primarily Fortinet) for traffic segmentation and security.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, acting as a trusted advisor and problem solver for our clients. Comfortably resolve technical issues and communicate effectively with non-technical users.
- Escalation Point: Serve as the primary escalation point for our service and project teams, providing expert guidance and troubleshooting assistance.
- Architecture & Design: Contribute to network and system design, offering recommendations and implementing solutions that meet our clients' needs.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced support for service desk tickets, resolving complex technical issues.
- Project Involvement: Participate in IT projects, contributing to planning, implementation, and documentation.
- VoIP (Preferred): Experience with VoIP systems is a plus.
- Device Management: Oversee and manage approximately 3000 devices deployed across our client base.
Qualifications:
- Solid foundation in networking principles and practices.
- Strong Microsoft systems background, including Azure, O365, and Active Directory.
- Experience with Fortinet firewalls is essential. Experience with Cisco or Ubiquiti is a plus.
- Experience with VMware is beneficial, but expertise in Hyper-V is critical.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with SMB clients is highly desirable.
- Experience with Kaseya and Autotask RMM is a plus.
- Experience with SonicWall (previous deployments) is a plus.
Certifications:
- Microsoft certifications are highly valued and will be rewarded with a raise upon attainment. We will support you in achieving the necessary certifications to maintain our Microsoft partnership. Experience will be prioritized over certifications if the candidate possesses exceptional practical skills.
Salary : $40 - $45
