We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator in the aerospace industry. This position is based in SWANTON, Ohio, United States where you will be part of a team maintaining and supporting the operating system environment and various computer systems.
Responsibilities:
Manage and support the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems, specifically working with Infor XA on an AS/400.
Display a strong understanding of IBM i architecture, commands, and tools such as CL programming.
Execute system maintenance tasks to promote uptime and efficient performance.
Handle the acquisition, installation, and testing of system software upgrades and computer components.
Configure software and troubleshoot technical problems.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures.
Manage user roles, workflows, and troubleshoot application-specific issues within Infor XA.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role.
Proven competency in Infor XA software.
Demonstrated proficiency in AS400 system operations.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Familiarity with system security and data backup/recovery.
Availability to respond to help desk requests after hours if necessary.
Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology.
Ability to troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues.
Demonstrated understanding of networking protocols and infrastructure.
Experience in maintaining and improving IT infrastructure.
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
Strong customer service orientation and a proactive approach.
